Specifically curated showcase

The collection has been specifically curated to showcase talented emerging artists. As you step into the hotel you are greeted by a visual homage to Marylebone and the area surrounding the Arch Hotel London, thanks to Vincent Poole’s collage entitled “New Shoes”. Along the corridors the entire “Alphatecture” series by Peter Defty showcases glimpses of some of London’s iconic buildings.

Artwork takes centre stage

On entering the warm and welcoming reception area two unique artworks are on display – Georgia Fiennes painting of “Spud III” brings a sense of humour to the space, while Julie Cockburn’s embroidered antique map, “You Are the Key To My Soul 5”, hangs over the fireplace.

The Study is the perfect location for an informal business meeting or impromptu drinks with friends; the contemporary space is given a sense of drama with Linda Culverwell’s colourful “Olive’s and Cream with Burgundy Wine” liquid gloss painting, with Nigel Bird’s powerful charcoal drawing – “Embers III” adding to the dramatic feel.

Natalie Tkachuk’s ‘Posted’ in the bedrooms are images of old letters that explore concepts of the lost and the forgotten, what a stranger leaves behind, traces of time, memory, and presence. These wartime love letters are retracing the life and love of Maude and Frank. The letters are all written by Frank whilst he was posted at different places all over England during the war.

The abstract paintings in the Le Salon de Champagne by London-based Parisian artist Eleonore Pironneau perfectly represent the movement of the bubbles in a glass of champagne and complete the luxurious room.
