Shop till you drop in Bond Street and then relax in a stylish boutique hotel

Bond Street brings together some of the world’s biggest and most fashionable brands all in one place. Some of the big brand stores found along this famous street includes Ralph Lauren, Versace, Armani, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Prada. Bond Street is also the UK home of the infamous Sotheby’s auction house, which has stood at its site for more than 100 years. Attracting admirers of fine and decorative art from around the world; one of the most notable sales in the auction’s history was Joan Miró’s Peinture (Étoile Bleue), which achieved £23.5 million in 2012.

Plenty to see

A popular tourist destination; Bond Street offers everything one might need in a shopping destination in the heart of London’s West End. In addition to exclusive shopping outlets there are several high end galleries, plus cafes, restaurants and bars perfect for afternoon tea or pre-theatre cocktails.

Visitors should look out for the commemorative ‘Allies’ sculpture, which features Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt posed in conversation on a park bench. Unveiled in 1995 to mark 50 years since World War II, it is also popular with tourists as it provides an unusual photo opportunity.

Getting there

Within easy reach of The Arch London, Bond Street is just a 12 minute walk away. There are several routes to choose from, with the most direct route taking you down bustling Oxford Street. Exiting out of the hotel on to Great Cumberland Place, continue down the road until you reach Bryanston Street. Take a left here and then the next right to join up with Oxford Street. Continue until you see Debenhams department store then turn right.

Whilst slightly longer at 13 minutes’ walk, the second option is easier to navigate. Once on Great Cumberland Place turn left onto Seymour Street. Continue in a straight line until you reach Marylebone Lane on your left; follow this road until you connect up with Oxford Street. Turn left onto Oxford Street and New Bond Street will shortly be on your right.

The area is well-served by public transport. Bond Street tube station is the nearest underground link for visitors to use. The station itself has major redevelopments in progress. Due to open in 2017, the improvements will include a Crossrail interchange.
