A luxury hotel by Hyde Park & The Serpentine

The Arch Hotel London is less than five minutes’ walk from Hyde Park; close to Marble Arch and the Serpentine. A world-famous area, Hyde Park is one of the largest Royal Parks in London, covering some 350 acres.

Arguably best known for Speaker’s Corner – the last remaining weekly speaking place in London – Hyde Park is also home to the Diana Memorial Fountain and a host of other beautiful statues, fountains and memorials.

Things to do

With two fully-licensed lakeside restaurants and an exciting eco-friendly education centre, there is certainly plenty to see and do in Hyde Park

Tourists and experience-seekers can enjoy a range of activities such as cycling, boating and skating; whilst the winter brings with it ice skating on the outdoor rink. The area regularly plays host to sporting events such as charity runs and triathlons. It is a wonderful place to take a morning stroll and many of our guests enjoy taking a jog around the park.

In the summer months, Hyde Park holds some of the most famous events and concerts, including BBC Proms in the park and the British Summer Time Hyde Park festival. From the end of November through to the beginning of January, it is transformed into the world famous Winter Wonderland which has spawned countless imitations across Britain.

Full of wildlife, Hyde Park contains flower gardens, a meadow and a huge lake. Known as The Serpentine, it is home to a wonderful array of wildfowl, insects and more. Bats can be spied at dusk and a huge variety of birds frequent the park.

The Isis Education centre offers hands-on learning for adults and children wishing to learn more about the natural world.

It is easy to access Kensington Gardens from the hotel, as they blend almost seamlessly with Hyde Park. Here visitors can enjoy the Ornamental Water Gardens and much more. It’s worth noting that the closing times of Kensington Gardens differ to Hyde Park, though.

Getting there

Hyde Park is just a four minute stroll away from The Arch Hotel. Simply turn left on Great Cumberland Place and at the end of the road you’ll see Marble Arch directly opposite. The park is just behind those arches.

Opening times: Open 5am until midnight all year round.

Hyde Park has several major underground stations situated around the outskirts. The nearest to The Arch Hotel is Marble Arch Station on the North East corner of Hyde Park. Others include Hyde Park Corner and Knightsbridge, which are both on the Piccadilly Line; and Queensway Station and Lancaster Gate on the Central Line.
